SPOOKTACULAR!

Here is the card  I was working on tonight, didn't get much done in the litlle bit of time I spent in my room.
But I am very happy with how this one turned out. It didn't take me long to figure out which colors I was going to use, the two main colors are some of my favorites (old olive and pumpkin pie) and then the rest just seemed to pop out at me! Hope you like, feel free to ask anything about what I used to make this card!

Fall is here!!

I know some people may think I am crazy, but I am kinda happy to be welcoming fall and winter! I have had such a busy and kinda stressful summer, so I am happy to hopfully have some down time and some time for scrapping/ cardmaking this winter.

Here are some new pictures on what I have been working on lately. The first two pictures are a cake I did for my cousins 18th Birthday! It was so fun to make!

This is something I have been wanting to make for awhile now but have just not found the time! It is so easy and yet looks so pretty! I also made a Halloween one to, I am hoping to do these as a class.

Thank-you for looking and hope you have enjoyed! Next time it won't be so long before I post again, sorry for being to slow this summer!

Bikini Baby Belly!!

This is a marble cake filled and crumb coated with buttercream icing. Then covered in fondant. The bikini is fondant as well! The cake was hand carved to get the share just right.

Here is a close up of the bikini. It is marbled fondant and then I hand painted some flowers on it!
This is the cutest finishing touch. It is the babies foot kicking!! Hope you like it, can't wait to see the reaction when they pick the cake up!

Wedding Cake!!

This is my latest cake, it is a wedding this Saturday. The bride asked me for something three tiers with the colors champagne and black, and lillies on it. So this is what i came up with! The top teir is styrofoam, the middle is french vanilla with boston cream filling, and the bottom is devils food chocolate with chocolate ganache filling. The lillies are silk flowers, as well are the leaves. The topper was bought at Michaels.
Another view.
The whole thing, how does it look?

Post-it note desk caddy!

This is a really simple and neat project! All you need is a 4x6 picture frame, it can be either metal or acrylic. The kind that stands up, you just use it upside down! (You need the one that has the bottom on the 6 inch side.) And a 3x3 post it note pack! I found my picture frame at the dollar store. You just take out the paper and cut a 4x6 piece of cardstock in place of it. You can decorate it how ever you like! When you are all done tacky tape it in place and enjoy writing notes!

Here is a close up of the butterfly and quote I put on mine! Hope you like! If you have any questions just let me know!

Top Note Dresser!

This is called a topnote dresser! I got the idea from helenmade.blogspot.com, she does lots of beautiful work! I used old olive paper for the main boxes, and the pattern paper is from the urban garden DS paper pack. I used Close to my heart stamps for the top, then added some brads with cyrstals and some rhinstones for some sparkle. This picture shows the bottom draw which is made from a match box.
Here the lid is held open so you can see how the top works. I am hoping to make a few more of these as they would be great gifts to put either a small gift or some cards in!

Hope you like, if you have any questions feel free to ask! And thanks for looking!

Shadow Box Fun!!

I was shopping and found some cute little shadow boxes the other day. So today I played around with one and here is what I came up with! I started with a piece of old olive cardstock, then layered it with whisper white. I used the scalloped trim border to make it look pretty. I then used the Inspired by Nature stamp from Stampin up for the background, then layered some old olive ribbon over. Then I took the butterfly from God's Beauty and stamped it three times. I watercolored it in with old olive and taken with teal, let them dry, cut them out, and then put them together with pop dots to make it stand out. Finally I took the sentimate from the Happy Harmony stamp set and cut it out with a spellbinders labels 1, I used the die cut as a stencil to do the border, put it on with a pop dot and then added a button from designer buttons playground pack!
Here is a close up of it, I really like how the butterfly turned out and how it stands out off the page. Hope you like it, and if you have any questions let me know!

I am so proud of everyone in my class, the cards are looking awesome and I just wanted to show you some of the work they have done. They have been a true blessing to me and make me want tuesdays to come even sooner. Thank-you girls for being there and all our girly chats!

Some cards from class and finally the last candle!

Finally here is the last candle I made for the ladies breakfast at church. Sorry it has been so long, I have been super busy, and then forgot to put it on yesterday!
Ok so this isn't a candle or card, but its me and the love of my life...my hubby!! I really missed him this time when he was gone for his 4 days of work! But he is off for 5 days now so I will get to spend lots of time with him!

These are the cards from class, I was so busy the night before and then so excited the morning of the card class that I only got three done. I was so excited because I had got my Close to my Heart package a day earlier than I thought it was coming, so we just made the three cards, played around and made a paper purse and then looked at my new stuff.

Women's breakfast candles!

Ok... so I finally have something new for you to look at. Here are the newest candles I have made. They will be center pieces for a womens breakfast at my church! For some reason I can only put 5 pictures up at once, so I will post the others tommorow.
I have been so busy lately, I got my whole yard raked and bagged. Bought my two beautiful kids a play stucture to use this summer. Hopefully we will get it up tommorow for them. Its been so nice outside I just don't wanna come inside when the weather is so great!
The first two were kinda remakes of ones I had already done, I just improved on them slighty.

On this one I used my new dew drops, I love the look and am so happy that I bought them!

I can't wait to see this one lighted, I think it will look awesome!

I wanted something extra on this one so I added some pearl dots. Hope you like, I will be right back with the others!

Pretty Picture Frame

So finally here is something new!! Its seems like I haven't been on here in ages!

I was at Michaels the other day and they had on a sale for buy one get one free frames, so I thought to myself lets make some fancy frames! Here are some of the pictures, sorry the pictures are not that great. These are some of my favorite colors right now and they seem to match my craft room so well! I will be putting this frame above the stacking cubes to give the wall some more interest! Hope you like, if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Too Cute Candle!!

The other day I was at one of my favorite stores.....Dollorama. I found these cute little candles for $2. They come in blue, red, green, yellow and smell great!! I was there thinking of what I could use them for when it hit me, I would just add my own paper and velleum I make my own design.
This is the very first try at making it look pretty, it looks okay but I will be making some changes as this one is a bit smudged and not quite how I want it. But I was so excited to show this cute idea off and couldn't wait to put my final one up, hopefully I will get one done "Just right" tonight and can post some more pictures tommorow!

Here it is with the lid to the side, it says it should burn for about 40 hours. I figure when the candle is all gone I will wash it and use it for a q-tip holder or something. Its too cute to just throw away. I will be making some as gifts and doing a class on how to make one! If you are interested just let me know! Thanks for looking!

Urban Oasis Card Organizer

I found a great tutorial for one of these and right away had to make one. It is such a cute little card organizer! I absolutley love the urban Oasis Paper from Stampin Up so it was obviously my first choice when I thought of making one. I was thinking I would make some matching tab dividers so I could keep track of the kinds of cards are in it. ( Birthday, Thank You, Wedding, Sympathy, etc.)
Here is what the inside looks like, it is held shut with a velcro dot. I will put up the finished product with the tab dividers maybe tommorow if i get a chance. I was thinking of doing one of these for a card class that way they would have a cute holder to take home all thier beautiful cards in! Thanks to Dannie's Designs for the great tutorial! Hope you all like it.

It is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling, crumb coated with buttercream then covered in fondant! Jack is made of gumpaste and can be kept.
Here is picture of the whole cake. It was so fun to make and see come to life! Hope you enjoyed looking!

Easter Card/Joy Card

Finally I finished the cards for the card class tomorrow!! This first one is real simple, I figured I would use the cricut to cut out all the pieces. Then just added a stamp from the Give Thanks stamp set from Close to my Heart. Cut some green cardstock to look like grass and volia...done!I wasn't sure of the colors on this one at first but now that its all done I really like it! I absolutely love the scallop punches, they make everything look so pretty! Hopefully I will get some more stuff up tomorrow, I was thinking of adding some cakes pictures finally. Thanks for looking!
